Aerofoil lift and stall
Aim: See lift appear on a NACA 0012 aerofoil and the wake change with angle of attack.

📘 Theory
A cambered or inclined aerofoil turns the flow downward, creating lift. Lift rises with angle until the flow separates from the upper surface (stall). At this low Re, separation comes early.
L = ½ρU²·c·Cl

📝 Procedure
🎤 Viva questions
Why is a symmetric aerofoil’s lift zero at 0°
The flow is the same above and below.
What causes stall
The upper-surface boundary layer separates.
🛡️ Safety
Virtual by default. Machine shops, CNC, presses and test rigs need instructor supervision, PPE and machine-specific safety training.
