🎯 Learning outcomes
- Use a search engine with good keywords
- Check if a website is reliable
- Follow safe searching rules with adult supervision
Before you start: Basic computer use.
📖 Explanation
A web browser opens websites; a search engine helps find information. Use keywords, not long sentences: 'national animal of India' gives better results than 'what is the animal which is the national one of our country'.
Reliable websites are made by experts or trusted organisations (for example government .gov.in sites, museums, newspapers). Check the date, compare with another site and ask a teacher.
Use child-safe search with an adult, do not click pop-ups or ads, and never download anything without permission.
For a project on Indian space missions, a student finds facts on the ISRO website (isro.gov.in) and checks them with a newspaper report.
✗ Everything on the internet is true
