Tangent Function
y = tan(Bx) = sin ÷ cos. It repeats every π/B and has vertical asymptotes where cos = 0.
Tangent Function📐 Formula
Period = π ÷ |B|; asymptotes at x = (π/2 + nπ) ÷ B
✏️ Worked example
B = 1: period π; asymptotes at x = ±π/2, ±3π/2 …
🌍 Where it is used
Slopes, angles of elevation and surveying.
