CSE51 · CI/CD, GitOps & SRE
GitOps Drift Simulator
Someone changed the cluster by hand. Argo CD-style reconciliation notices the drift and brings it back to Git.
🎯 You will learn to
- Know desired vs live state
- Detect drift
- Sync and self-heal
🧪 Live environment
Runs entirely in your browser: nothing is installed, no real cloud account is used and your code is never sent to our server.

✅ Steps & checkpoints
🗺️ Drift detection
Git holds the desired state; the reconciler compares it with the live cluster, flags the hand edit and syncs it back.
The 2D diagram shows the exact flow, ports and trust boundaries. The 3D scene is a concept view of the same parts; packets travel along the same arrows.
🤔 Think about it
Why should production changes go through Git?
🛡️ Safety & cost
Pipelines run in a simulator. No repository or cluster is changed.
🧹 Cleanup
Nothing to clean up.
