🎯 Learning outcomes
- Read short sentences and passages aloud with correct pronunciation
- Answer simple questions about what is read
- Connect the text to pictures and their own life
Before you start: Recognising letters and vowel signs.
📖 Explanation
Reading means turning letters into sounds and understanding the words. Children read slowly, syllable by syllable, then word by word, and finally whole sentences with expression.
After reading, they answer: कौन? (who), क्या? (what), कहाँ? (where) / ఎవరు?, ఏమిటి?, ఎక్కడ?.
Pictures help guess meaning, and connecting stories to their own life makes reading enjoyable.
Hindi: 'राम बाग में गया। उसने लाल फूल देखा।' Who went to the garden? राम. Telugu: 'సీత బడికి వెళ్ళింది. ఆమె పుస్తకం చదివింది.' Where did Sita go? బడికి.
