📖 Explanation

Every Indian language has rich folk literature: lullabies, rhymes, riddles (पहेलियाँ / పొడుపు కథలు), proverbs and folk tales passed down by elders.

Folk tales often feature clever animals, kind people and simple lessons such as sharing and honesty.

Reciting poems with rhythm and actions builds memory and love for the language.

🇮🇳 Example from India

A Telugu riddle: 'తెల్లని పొలంలో నల్లని విత్తనాలు' (black seeds in a white field) — answer: writing on paper. Hindi riddles (पहेलियाँ) are shared at family gatherings too.

⚠️ Common mistake

✗ Folk stories are old and have nothing to teach today
✓ Folk tales teach values like honesty, courage and kindness that matter today.
