Quantitative Aptitude
Time and work
Combine work rates to find how long people take together.
If A finishes a job in a days, A's one-day work is 1/a.
Together, A and B do 1/a + 1/b per day, so they need ab ÷ (a + b) days.
Example: 12 and 18 days → 12×18 ÷ 30 = 7.2 days.
📌 Remember for the exam
- Add rates, not days
- LCM method: take total work = LCM of the days
