हिंदी में स्वर वे अक्षर हैं जो अपने आप बोले जाते हैं: अ आ इ ई उ ऊ ऋ ए ऐ ओ औ, और अं, अः।
कुछ स्वर जोड़ी में आते हैं: अ-आ, इ-ई, उ-ऊ। दूसरा स्वर लंबा (दीर्घ) बोला जाता है।
आम (आ), इमली (इ), उल्लू (उ), ऊन (ऊ), ऐनक (ऐ), अंगूर (अं) - ये स्वर से शुरू होने वाले शब्द हैं।
✗ अ और आ एक ही अक्षर हैं।
