3 📖 Explain
Naming words (nouns) name people, places, animals and things: girl, Delhi, dog, book.
Doing words (verbs) tell actions: run, eat, sing. Describing words (adjectives) tell more about a noun: big, red, happy. Opposites, like hot and cold, help us describe things clearly.
"The tall boy kicks the old ball." Boy and ball are naming words, kicks is a doing word, tall and old are describing words.
✗ "Run" is always a naming word because it is a thing you do.
✓ "Run" is a doing word (verb): it tells an action.
