3 📖 Explain
A family is a group of people who live together and care for each other. Some families are small (parents and children), and some are big joint families with grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Our community is the people around our home: neighbours, shopkeepers, the doctor, the postal worker, the farmer. Families and communities help each other, share work and celebrate festivals together.
During a wedding in a village, neighbours lend utensils, help cook and decorate, and everyone shares the work and the joy.
✗ Only big families are real families.
✓ Families can be big or small; what matters is that people care for and help each other.
