3 📖 Explain
Plants have roots, a stem, leaves, flowers and fruits. Roots take water from the soil, the stem carries it up, and leaves make food using sunlight.
Animals live in different homes: birds in nests, rabbits in burrows, fish in ponds, cows in sheds. Living things grow, need food and water, breathe and have young ones; non-living things do not.
A neem tree near the school gives shade, birds build nests on it, and squirrels run up its stem.
✗ Plants eat soil.
✓ Plants take water and minerals from the soil, but make their food in the leaves using sunlight and air.
